Chubbuck Technique
The Chubbuck Technique is a 12-tool acting technique, which is based on human psychology and behavioral science. Ivana has a profound insight of the human psyche and teaches you how to replicate the character from your own personal needs and life experiences. This creates a character that is vivid, authentic and living and breathing in the moment.
The very foundation of the Chubbuck Technique is based on the human experience, the fundamental elements of performance, and being proactive in change. The essence of the Chubbuck Technique is not to use emotional pain as an end in itself, but rather to “use emotional pain and fears as a fuel to overcome your obstacles and WIN your goal.” This thought process can be useful both for success in script analysis, and in your personal life.
Join as a Participant
Ivana works with 16 professional actors, whom she selects on the basis of their CV, headshot and show reel. About 3 weeks prior to the masterclass, she assigns to them a scene which they need to prepare on the basis of the 12 tools explained in her book, ‘The Power of The Actor’. In addition, they need to rehearse with their scene partner a minimum of 6 to 8 hours before the masterclass and also 3 to 4 hours after the first workshop day.

The masterclass includes several transformative exercises, which everyone in the audience will actively participate in. Everyone will also learn and experience how to create chemistry, through the ‘Chemistry Exercise’, individually and as a group.
Each scene in the masterclass has been carefully selected so that the actors can face key aspects of what it takes to deliver great and lasting performances. Each and every one in the audience will face the same challenges, figuring them out alongside the actors on stage. Asking yourself questions such as “what would I use?”, “what choice would I make here?”.
The masterclass ends with a Q&A session for both participants and observers, followed by a book signing.

You will be considered to be an active participant by forwarding your resumé and showreel to masterclass@panoramaagency.com . Ivana Chubbuck will then select 16 actors, of which she will put together 8 couples. Places will fill up fast! You should not buy the Participant-ticket before your spot has been confirmed by Ivana.

Attend the workshop as an observer
You don't need to contact the masterclass before buying this ticket!
Price to participate as an observer: DKK 2,200. for the entire weekend (2 x 8 hours) (ex. booking fee)
As a student it is possible to attend both days for DKK 1,500.
